Job Title: Software Test EngineerJob Description
The Software Test Engineer will provide essential mission support to efforts associated with innovations in Space, Near Space, Space Control, Missile Defense Capabilities, and information operations. The role involves supporting US Army Space and Missile Defense Command Capability Development Integration Directorate (CDID) personnel by offering test engineering support and advice to government customers. The engineer will attend technical working groups and configuration control boards, work with a diverse team to troubleshoot and resolve functional deficiencies, and collaborate with software development engineers to create applications that meet customer mission needs.
Responsibilities
+ Provide mission support including test engineering support and advice.
+ Attend technical working groups and configuration control boards.
+ Work collaboratively with software development engineers, information assurance engineers, system administrators, and network engineers.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve functional deficiencies.
+ Provide technical assistance to operational testers performing Force Development Evaluations.
+ Collaborate with software development engineers to create applications that meet customer mission needs.
+ Conduct Independent Verification and Validation, Regression, and functional tests.
+ Engineer test architectures and develop test scenarios, concepts, and strategies.
+ Author test plans and detailed test procedures.
+ Interpret system requirements and create testable elements.
+ Interpret and apply .xsd and other schema documentation to test results.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with Unit Testing in C#.
+ Must have an active Secret clearance.
+ Ability to break down requirements and execute test plans.
+ Proficiency in Python.
+ Experience in test case development and test case design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to conduct Independent Verification and Validation, and Regression tests.
+ Experience in engineering test architectures.
+ Skill in developing test scenarios, concepts, and strategies.
Work Environment
This position offers a mostly fully remote work environment. However, candidates need to be located in or around Colorado Springs (COS) or Colorado (CO) as on-site presence is required at least twice a month for credentials refresh and meetings. The role involves working alongside a software development team. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing company engaged in cutting-edge work supporting Army and USSF missions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
