    Our client is seeking a commercial construction superintendent to oversee projects from planning to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing contractors. This role is a mix between foreman and superintendent, looking for someone with foreman or lead carpentry experience who is interested in growing their career.

     

    This person will serve as the onsite leader for all installers and field employees for specific assigned projects, and requires managing multiple carpenters across various jobsites and occasionally engaging in hands-on work. The individual will adhere to safety, quality, and efficiency standards to ensure the security of the construction site.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and supervise onsite installers and field employees for assigned projects.

    + Monitor projects from planning through to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.

    + Manage multiple carpenters across different jobsites.

    + Engage in hands-on work, including carpentry, as needed.

    + Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience in commercial carpentry.

    + 3+ years of experience reading blueprints and construction documents.

    + 3+ years of experience managing contractors or field staff.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading and construction documents.

    + Experience with commercial construction, steel stud framing, and metal framing.

    + Knowledge of OSHA 30 regulations.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.45 - $35.00/hr.
