Job Description
Join an esteemed Transportation consulting firm specializing in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and parking consulting. This role focuses on improving traffic flow, enhancing transportation systems, and developing parking solutions for a diverse range of clients, including government agencies, private developers, and businesses. The position is based in Tysons, VA, and seeks individuals with a background in transportation planning and traffic engineering.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct traffic impact studies and transportation planning analyses.
+ Develop and implement traffic management plans.
+ Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to identify transportation needs and solutions.
+ Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals.
+ Utilize transportation modeling software to analyze traffic patterns and forecast future conditions.
+ Participate in public meetings and presentations to communicate project findings and recommendations.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in traffic analysis, transportation planning, and traffic signal operations.
+ Proficiency in using transportation modeling software such as Synchro, HCS, and VISSIM.
+ Ability to collect, analyze, and report on traffic data.
+ Understanding of intersection capacity analysis and parking studies.
+ Knowledge of CADD software, including AutoCAD.
+ Ability to prepare technical reports and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or related field.
+ 1-3+ years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)/EIT or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certificate is a plus.
+ Experience with roadway geometric design and signal timing.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, public review agency personnel, and clients.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tysons, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
