Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing a variety of tax filings, including individual, S-corporation, and partnership returns. This position requires a high level of expertise in tax preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual tax returns with accuracy and compliance.

• Handle tax filings for S-corporations and partnerships, ensuring timely submissions.

• Analyze financial information to determine tax liability and identify potential deductions.

• Collaborate with clients to gather required documentation and address any questions.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Provide guidance and support to clients regarding their tax-related concerns.

• Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines during busy tax seasons.

• Ensure all tax documentation is organized and maintained securely.

• Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to tax filings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tax preparation, including individual, S-corporation, and partnership returns.

• Proficiency in using tax software.

• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work extended hours during peak tax seasons.

• Effective communication skills for client interaction and collaboration.

• Analytical mindset to identify opportunities for tax savings.

• Prior experience managing high-volume tax preparation workloads.
