Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations using the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) platform, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position combines technical expertise with functional payroll management to support organizational needs and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and optimize the Workday Payroll module to align with company policies and legal requirements.

• Process payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, benefit updates, and garnishments.

• Execute both on-cycle and off-cycle payroll runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Validate payroll details such as earnings, deductions, taxes, and time entries for precision.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure employee data and time tracking entries are accurate.

• Reconcile payroll outputs and verify data before final approval.

• Prepare and submit payroll reports and tax filings in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Serve as a resource for employees and managers, addressing payroll inquiries and providing training on Workday self-service functions.

• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to integrate Workday with internal systems and external vendors.

• Participate in testing and validating updates and new features within the Workday platform. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing payroll processes within the Workday platform.

• Proficiency in Workday HCM and Payroll modules, including configuration, audits, and reporting.

• Strong understanding of full-cycle payroll processing and multi-state tax compliance.

• Excellent skills in data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.

• Ability to resolve functional and technical payroll issues effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all payroll-related tasks.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
