    Description

    Take the lead in shaping the financial future of a dynamic construction organization! This Controller role offers a unique opportunity to oversee all facets of corporate accounting, drive process improvements, and serve as a key partner to senior leadership in accomplishing long-term business objectives. Reporting directly to the President of the company, this role will oversee a team of 5. Great hybrid flexibility is available- 3-4 days a week remote!     Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and fixed assets

    + Prepare accurate and timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

    + Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure smooth operations

    + Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance

    + Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals

    + Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making

    + Lead the annual budgeting process and contribute to the development of long-term financial plans

    + Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred

    + At least 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with 3 or more years in a leadership role

    + Proven expertise in cost accounting and project-based financial tracking

    + Familiarity with industrial services, construction, manufacturing, or field operations sectors is preferred

    + Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and leadership levels

    + Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance
