The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works under general supervision and performs diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice. Procures, prepares, administers radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications in accordance with the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Scope of Practice. Always ensures medication security. May perform procedures on the neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic and therapeutic studies. Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies. They are responsible for patient safety protocols. Maintains all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements and participates in CQI activities.

+ Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given

**Hours:** 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Ten hour shifts

Qualifications

Requirements:

+ Minimum of Assoc. Degree/College Diploma required.

+ Two (2) years experience in an acute clinical setting, or recent graduate from an accredited school.

+ Certified by the State of California to practice and administer radiopharmaceuticals.

+ Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

+ Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (required).

+ Basic computer knowledge (required).

**Preferred** :

+ ARRT or CRT (preferred).
