Job Title: Buyer

**Location:** Parsippany, NJ

**Pay Range:** $32–$40/hour (based on experience)

**Schedule:** Flexible 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM)

**Work Model:** Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

**Contract Length:** 1 year with potential extension up to 2 years; strong temp-to-perm opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced **Buyer** to join our Health Procurement Team and support a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple projects. This role will focus on **External Manufacturing Suppliers** within the VMS (Vitamin, Mineral, Supplement) category and direct purchasing for manufacturing operations, including products like Lysol wipes.

The Buyer will develop and implement sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with internal stakeholders in Marketing and R&D to drive innovation and ensure business continuity. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage direct purchasing for manufacturing operations and external suppliers.

+ Review and interpret contracts; ensure compliance and accuracy.

+ Secure supply chain on existing portfolio with Service Level Agreements.

+ Develop business continuity strategies and cost reduction programs.

+ Support new product development to launch on time and at competitive prices.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply, R&D, and Finance teams.

+ Drive quality and service improvement strategies; conduct benchmark studies.

+ Utilize **SAP** and **Excel** for purchasing, reporting, and data analysis.

Qualifications

+ **3–5 years of direct buying experience** (manufacturing environment preferred).

+ BS/BA degree in business, manufacturing, engineering, finance, or related field; MBA is a plus.

+ Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.

+ Proficiency in **SAP** and **Excel** is required.

+ Experience in large organizations or complex supply chains preferred.

+ Quick learner with a solution-driven mindset; not afraid of challenges.

+ Ability to lead cross-functional projects and deliver measurable results.
