Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Setting: Group Home (4-patient house)

Patients: Adolescents with developmental disabilities and severe behaviors

Pay Rate: $23/hr

Schedule:

+ PM Shift: Saturday–Wednesday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide care and behavioral support for adolescents in a group home setting. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing behavioral plans, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.

Responsibilities:

+ Support patients with developmental disabilities and severe behaviors

+ Assist with daily routines and personal care

+ Implement individualized behavioral plans

+ Maintain a safe and structured environment

Requirements:

+ Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

+ Ability to manage challenging behaviors

+ Strong communication and teamwork skills

The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals withintellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth anddevelopment of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home,community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel I works directlywith the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living andadaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance ofthe resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School diploma or its equivalent

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health Certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
