Occupational Therapist – School Setting
Position Overview:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides comprehensive occupational therapy services to students in a school environment. Responsibilities include evaluating students, developing individualized treatment plans, implementing interventions, conducting standardized assessments, and maintaining accurate documentation to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct evaluations and develop individualized occupational therapy plans for students.
+ Implement therapy interventions to address functional, academic, and developmental needs.
+ Perform standardized assessments and analyze data to monitor progress.
+ Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
+ Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student participation in educational activities.
+ Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reporting.
Minimum Requirements
+ Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
+ Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
+ One (1) year of experience as an Occupational Therapist preferred; pediatric or school-based experience strongly preferred.
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice.
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).
+ TB clearance and health screening per state or contract requirements.
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations.
