• Warehouse Manager

    Horizon Roofing (New Hope, MN)


    ### Job Duties

    - Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, staging, deliveries, and general material flow.

     

    - Manage inventory of commercial flat roofing materials such as TPO, EPDM, PVC, ISO insulation, cover board, adhesives, fasteners, and drains.

     

    - Perform quarterly inventory counts and routine spot checks to ensure accuracy.

     

    - Forecast material needs according to project schedules and communicate shortages in advance.

     

    - Coordinate the receiving and inspection of incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and quantity.

     

    - Ensure proper labeling, organization, and storage of materials to prevent damage.

     

    - Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant warehouse environment.

     

    - Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks); arrange repairs and inspections when necessary.

     

    - Implement and improve warehouse procedures, SOPs, and workflow efficiencies.

     

    - Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials (adhesives, solvents, flammables).

     

    - Conduct regular safety meetings and training with warehouse staff.

     

    - Communicate effectively with office and field teams to support production schedules.

     

    - Travel occasionally to job sites to deliver materials or review setup needs (work split between Waite Park and New Hope locations; company vehicle provided).

     

    ### Minimum Education Required

    High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

     

    ### Minimum Experience Required

    - 3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience (construction or roofing preferred).

     

    - Experience using inventory management systems (Viewpoint Spectrum experience is a plus).

     

    - Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).

     

    - Valid driver’s license.

     

    - Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in indoor/outdoor conditions.

     

    - Basic understanding of flat roofing materials, tools, and equipment (or ability to learn quickly).
