Job Description

**Sr. Consultant** **(full-time; multiple openings)** needed in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems. Test and validate Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features for improved peer-to-peer network connectivity. Perform functional and performance testing for Quick Start feature, focusing on Backup and Restore functionality. Validate and test Quick Share and Instant Connection Sharing features, working with various sharing protocols. Test Wi-Fi Aware, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, and BLE technologies to ensure seamless connectivity. Work with Mobly for test automation, including bug fixes, improvements, and unit test case development. Manage defects, including bug reporting, debugging, triaging issues with developers, performing Root Cause Analysis, and re-evaluating developed fixes. Validate Google Wi-Fi Provisioning feature, working on both device-side and cloud-side functionality. Develop and execute detailed test plans covering functional, stress, and negative scenarios. Conduct interoperability testing with Android devices. Perform competitive tests for Apple and Android phones, researching Ultra-Wide Band testing and airdrop features. Carry out stress, stability, and negative testing to ensure system stability.

Job Specification

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field, plus four (4) years of software testing or connectivity testing experience. Must have one (1) year of software testing or connectivity testing work experience with any one of the following skill sets:

1. Python, Wireshark, and Linux;

1. Shell Scripting, VMware, and Jira; OR

1. Android, TCP, and VLAN.

In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equiv), we will accept three (3) years of post-secondary study in any field, plus three (3) years of software testing or connectivity testing experience. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs. International travel not required. Travel not to exceed 5% / year for meetings and to complete assigned projects of varying lengths. Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.

The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $89,045.00 - $178,290.00/year.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.

Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$89,045.00 - $178,290.00/year.

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
