Our Evansville, IN, location is part of our Coatings division, and creates various breading, batter, and coating blends for Kerry brands and customers. What You'll Do
2nd shift 2 pm to 1030 PM
$30.95 per hour
Maintenance Bonus $2500 sign on bonus $250 after two weeks no attendance issues. $2250 after 120 days.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Essential Functions
+ In the absence of the Maintenance group lead, ensure critical activities of the group lead to keep the maintenance department working properly.
+ Assists the group lead in reviewing the current day’s schedule status of manpower availability daily and facilitates the execution to plan.
+ Must be able to lead and help train fellow team members within the department.
+ Assists the Planner/Scheduler and Maintenance Engineer by recommending equipment and/or procedures to be included in preventative maintenance programs.
+ Recommends and helps find permanent solutions to the issues that maintenance department faces in its day-to-day functioning
+ Keeps the maintenance staff properly informed on all abnormal or critical situations and seeks advice on matters outside of their knowledge or authority.
+ Works with various hand tools, power tools, welders and cutting equipment to repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps.
+ Repairs or replaces control devises such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.
+ Performs work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
+ Ensures fellow employees, contractors and visitors are following all applicable quality and food safety procedures and policies.
+ Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment.
+ Fabricates and modifies new and existing equipment.
+ Possesses advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical and controls.
+ Ability to create PLC programs from white sheet and make necessary changes to existing PLC/HMI programs to accommodate improvements.
+ Troubleshoots and repair electrical equipment; work with low voltage DC and 120, 240 and 480 volt AC power based on Electrician guidelines.
B. Marginal Functions
+ Operate forklift and aerial lifts.
+ Help as required in the parts storeroom.
What You'll Need To Be Successful And Safe
Requirements
+ Education 2-year degree in Industrial technology, advanced manufacturing preferred,
Experience 5+ years’ experience required. Prior experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred. Strong electrical troubleshooting and controls experience desired or ability to acquire within a reasonable time frame.
Skills Advanced, mechanical repair, general welding, electrical troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting, ability to use hand tools, hand-held power tools, and basic computer skills.
Must have the ability to work alone and in close cooperation with production personnel. Capable of working through complex problems alone or with others to provide logical solutions.

The pay rate for this position is $30.95 per hour .
