As a **Facilities Technician** , you’ll help ensure our attraction operates **smoothly, safely, and efficiently** every day. From lighting and audio-visual systems to equipment, machinery, and themed exhibits, you’ll play a key role in creating unforgettable guest experiences—while working in a truly unique environment surrounded by incredible marine life 🐙🐟.
This is a hands-on role for a problem-solver who enjoys variety, teamwork, and keeping things running at their best.
Qualifications & Experience
•️ Key Responsibilities
• **Maintain the Magic**
+ Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot attraction systems including **HVAC, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems** .
+ Support themed attractions, exhibits, lighting, and Audio/Visual systems (old and new!).
• **Minimize Downtime, Maximize Guest Smiles**
+ Apply hands-on technical knowledge to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
+ Keep attractions operating smoothly to deliver the best possible guest experience 😊.
• **Technical & Facility Support**
+ Perform re-lamping, lighting repairs, painting, wall repair, and basic carpentry.
+ Install or replace bulbs, projector lamps, doors, and fixtures.
+ Set up and break down exhibits and assist with shipping and receiving.
+ Install and maintain data cables, computer outlets, and low-voltage systems.
• **Preventative & Reactive Maintenance**
+ Complete preventative maintenance tasks (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
+ Perform inspections, work orders, adjustments, and control device repairs.
+ Monitor building systems and identify or report safety and fire hazards 🔥.
• **Tools & Safety**
+ Safely operate hand tools and power equipment.
+ Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
+ Follow OSHA guidelines and use PPE correctly at all times 🦺.
• _This role may include additional duties as needed to support attraction operations._
• Education & Experience
+ High School diploma or GED required.
+ **At least 2 years of maintenance experience** required.
+ **At least 2 years of experience in a technical or themed environment** , including areas such as:
+ Electrical/electronics
+ Automation & animation
+ Hydraulics & pneumatics
+ Networking and AV systems
+ Ability to work calmly and effectively in **fast-paced or high-pressure situations** .
+ Strong multitasking skills and a desire to work in dynamic environments 🌟.
• Licenses & Certifications
+ Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications as needed by law or job requirements.
• Travel Requirements
+ Occasional local travel may be required.

• Working Conditions
+ Attendance is an essential function of this role.
+ Must be available to work **flexible schedules** , including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays 🌙🎄.
+ May work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Physical Demands
+ Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the attraction for extended periods.
+ Ability to lift up to **70 lbs** with or without reasonable accommodation.
+ Comfortable working at heights (20+ feet) 🪜.
+ Ability to bend, kneel, climb, balance, reach, and perform fine motor tasks.
+ May be exposed to loud environments, chemicals, power equipment, and hazardous materials.
• Environmental Factors
+ Exposure to varying temperatures, lighting levels, and floor surfaces.
+ Exposure to noise, vibration, moving equipment, and wet or damp conditions.
