Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst & Automation Specialist to evaluate and interpret data from large, complex systems. This role focuses on identifying key trends, patterns, and actionable insights, and presenting clear data summarizations that empower our Power BI Developer to build impactful dashboards. The ideal candidate excels at data exploration, validation, and storytelling, and is skilled in writing scripts to automate data analysis and delivery, ensuring business decisions are grounded in robust analytics. Experience with PowerBI is a plus, but not required. The pay rate for this role ranges between $40-50/hour based off expertise level and years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Exploration & Evaluation:

Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities. Validate data sources and ensure data integrity for downstream reporting.

• Insight Generation:

Summarize findings in clear, actionable formats (tables, charts, executive summaries) for use by dashboard developers and business stakeholders.

• Automation & Scripting:

Develop and maintain scripts (using Python, SQL, Power Automate, or similar tools) to automate data analysis, transformation, and delivery processes. Streamline workflows to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

• Collaboration with Power BI Developer:

Work closely with the Power BI Developer to translate analytical findings into dashboard requirements and visualizations.

• Data Presentation:

Prepare concise reports and presentations that communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.

• Support Data Integration:

Assist in identifying relevant data sources and preparing data for integration into reporting platforms.

• Documentation:

Document analytical processes, automation scripts, methodologies, and key findings for future reference and knowledge sharing.
