    Scope of Work

    Under minimal direction, coordinates a program or service within designated pharmacy areas. Functions mostly independently in decision making with limited guidance. Performs Quality Assurance activities and projects as assigned. Maintains department records and assigned departmental/institutional programs. May interact with other departments and/or businesses outside of Corewell Health System. Enhanced knowledge of area assigned above and beyond technician responsibilities.

     

    + Coordinates area of assigned responsibility within the pharmacy department.

    + Assumes ownership and ensures quality and completeness of work assigned.

    + Participates in assigned group work or committees.

    + Responsible for data collection and/or reporting related to assigned area/project.

    + Serves as a role model and leader in the department.

    + Escalates any concerns that are identified in their area of work through chain of command.

    + Involved with business operations and/or department compliance initiatives.

    + See attached addendums (if applicable) for additional site-specific duties.

    Qualifications

    + Required High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Minimum of four years of pharmacy experience. Required

    + LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

    + Ideal candidate will be a Pharmacy Technician possessing Full Pharmacy Technician License and National Certification, such as PTCB or ExCPT

    + Ideal candidate will also possess a Teaching or Pharmacy Education background

    + Ideal candidate will excel and have a passion for the following responsibilities, specific to this role, but not limited to, the following:

    + 1. Serving as a program instructor for the Corewell Health Academy of Pharmacy Technicians

    + 2. Serving as an instructor and liaison with the pharmacy technician training class at Innovations High School

    + 3. Developing and delivering content for the Corewell Health Pharmacy System Orientation

    + Primary Schedule is 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but based on certain meetings, schedule may start at 6 a.m. or end at 7 p.m. with Shifts usually being 8.5 Hrs.

    + This is a Monday to Friday Position, No Weekends, No Holidays
