Key Responsibilities:
The Principal - Leisure Sales Product is responsible for overseeing the successful integration, operation, and growth of United’s new online packaging website, MileagePlus Travel. The position develops and maintains strategic partnerships to enhance premium leisure offering to customers, while leveraging partnerships with tourism boards, travel organizations, and destination marketing partners. This position sits within the global sales organization. The role contributes to enhancing the airline’s online presence, expanding product offerings, and driving revenue growth through collaborative marketing initiatives and improved digital sales performance.
In addition, this role ensures seamless technical connectivity between internal systems, partner platforms, and external suppliers while providing end-to-end support for online travel packaging operations, and supports collaboration and alignment internally across Product, Finance, Loyalty, Revenue Management, Network Planning and other stakeholders.
Commercial and Strategic Growth
+ Support the development and execution of strategies that drive online premium revenue growth and increase customer engagement.
+ Key focus on developing engagement and conversion from elite MileagePlus customers with premium yield focus.
+ Collaborate with the commercial and Kinective Media teams to implement joint campaigns, cross-promotions, and co-branded initiatives.
+ Contribute to pricing, product bundling, and promotional planning aligned with business objectives.
Partnership and Relationship Development
+ Establish and maintain strategic relationships with tourism boards, destination marketing organizations, and travel partners.
+ Identify partnership opportunities to enhance product offerings and destination reach.
+ Serve as the liaison between United and external partners for integration, marketing, and operational initiative.
Product Distribution Systems
+ Own the end-to-end strategy, governance, and execution of online packaging across all hotel distribution systems, ensuring alignment with revenue, commercial, and brand objectives.
+ Lead the design, setup, optimization, and lifecycle management of online packages, including room and rate combinations, inclusions, promotions, and pricing logic across direct and third-party channels. Including air, hotel, car, activity/transfer/insurance and assisting adding content to new markets/destinations not currently established with Paisly.
+ Oversee system configuration, rule management, and integrations related to online packaging within CRS, channel managers, booking engines, and connected platforms.
+ Establish and lead a robust audit framework to regularly review online packages for accuracy, pricing integrity, availability, content consistency, and compliance across all digital distribution channels.
+ Conduct and oversee periodic system audits to identify discrepancies, leakage, booking flow issues, or non-compliance with brand standards, distribution agreements, and revenue strategies.
Project Coordination and Delivery
+ Collaborate with UX, UI and Loyalty teams to support the ongoing development of the new platform, contributing inputs aimed at improving customer experience and conversion of existing business.
+ Participate in project delivery activities by providing requirements, feedback, and status updates to support timely completion, budget adherence, and alignment with organizational objectives.
+ Support the maintenance and accuracy of documentation related to integration processes, workflows, and system configurations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Work closely with IT, Digital, Commercial, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment on business priorities.
+ Act as a subject matter expert for the online packaging platform and its associated integrations.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
+ Liaison with internal parties to ensure integrations and online sales operations comply with company policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
+ Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain accuracy and consistency across systems.
Data and Performance Analysis
+ Work closely with Sales Strategy and Pricing, team along with the Non-Air Content Sr. Analyst to coordinate enhancements that support network growth, solve for future gaps and support maximum leverage of Paisly’s technology.
**Note** : This position offers a remote work arrangement and will travel up to 20% of the time (both domestic and international).
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Information Systems, E-Commerce, or a related field
+ 3+ years of progressive experience in airline, travel, or tourism industry roles involving digital systems, product integration, or online sales
+ Experience managing partnerships or alliances with tourism boards, destination marketing organizations, or travel service providers
+ Experience in system integration projects, particularly involving APIs, booking engines, and payment platforms
+ Experience in cross-functional project coordination across commercial, IT, and operations teams
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
+ Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
+ Ability to identify business opportunities and translate them into actionable partnership initiatives
+ Knowledge of market dynamics and customer behavior within the airline and tourism sectors
+ Ability to proactively identify improvements and drive innovation in processes, systems, and partnerships
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
+ Experience working with online product support, e-commerce operations, or digital platform management
+ Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), Digital Marketing, or Systems Integration
+ Certification or coursework in Digital Commerce, Airline Distribution Systems, or Travel Technology Platforms
+ Training in Partnership Development or Strategic Account Management
+ Knowledge of the B2C packaged travel products space
+ Quantitative analysis skills
+ Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

The base pay range for this role is $102,220.00 to $133,194.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
