    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    Reports to the Director of Hospitality Food & Nutrition Services, performs duties directly involved with wide variety of Food and Nutrition procedures. Has the responsibility for ensuring departmental functions are complete in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains a high level of compliance and performance standards in conducting daily business operations. Sets priorities for staff; ensures projects are completed; performs regular inspections of assigned areas; maintains documents required for regulatory compliance; provides training and support to employees

    Major Responsibility:

    + Assist with Food and Nutrition Services Director and Executive Chef, the food production operations of the department, maintains current standards, laws, and policies’ procedures.

    + Maintain a safe and sanitary environment to ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards.

    + Manage retail data for monthly financials, payroll, schedules, and the POS system.

    + Manage departmental supplies and HR onboarding processes.

    + Manage Catertrax for catering needs and digital menu boards.

    + Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge and enforces uniform compliance with all current policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (hospital, department, and others) within all production and storage areas of the department.

    + Establishes patient, employee and environmental safety infection control and EOC management as a leadership priority and maintains consistent compliance with specified safety and practice standards.

    + Locks/unlocks retail work area.

    + Operates cash register, including collecting money, giving change, receipts and balancing.

    + Handles money when acting as cashier, according to Hospital’s Policies and Procedures and fills out cash report completely and accurately.

    + Works directly with the hospital cashier to verify and balance Café’ deposits weekly.

    + Manages and provides all retail data for monthly financials to hospital accounting (Patient meals in Healthtouch, Floorstock/Catering in Catertrax, Sales from POS system, Doctors Dining data, Free meal tickets).

    + Works in Lawson to properly code and approve vendor invoices for AP.

    + Manages external new vendor setup with AP.

    + Manages payroll, schedules, employee punches daily in UKG.

    + Inputs daily employee man hours in Plus.

    + Manages POS system, to include daily division support.

    + Provides service recovery when patient rounding.

    + Manages departmental supplies.

    + Uniform/shoe ordering, ADP enrollment

    + -Assists with onboarding new employees to the department.

    + Manages Catertrax to include new user setup for all floorstock/catering needs. Works with internal/external customers for all catering orders and setup.

     

    Travels to other hospitals within the division to provide assistance and train on HCA cash handling process/policy, Catertrax building of catering/floorstock modules, POS install and go-live of menu building/pricing/cashier training of POS system/Supervisor training on retail reports/deposits)

    Education and Experience:

    + 3-5 years of administrative experience required.
