    **Job Title:** Technical Architect – OpenText AppWorks

    Role Overview

     

    The **Technical Architect** will design, develop, and implement enterprise solutions using **OpenText AppWorks** and related technologies. This role requires expertise in workflow automation, application integration, and system administration to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient business process solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Workflow Development

    + Design and develop workflows using **OpenText AppWorks** based on business requirements.

    + Utilize AppWorks low-code capabilities and business process models for application development.

    2. Integration

    + Integrate AppWorks with **OpenText Directory Services (OTDS)** for user and group synchronization, authentication, and authorization.

    + Connect AppWorks with **Content Server** for document management operations.

    + Implement **Java web services** using WSAppServer application connector for process integration.

    + Consume **WSDL-based web services** in AppWorks using UDDI application connector.

    + Use **Content Server REST web services** within AppWorks for document management.

    3. System Administration

    + Perform system health checks to monitor server status and ensure optimal performance.

    + Install, configure, and upgrade OpenText components including AppWorks, Content Server, OTDS, Process Automation, and Content Management.

    4. Reporting & Analytics

    + Create live reports and web reports in **Content Server** .

    + Develop KPIs using **OpenText Magellan Reporting Services** .

    5. Data Migration

    + Work with **Object Importer & Exporter** to migrate documents from external systems.

    6. Deployment & Environment Management

    + Deploy application packages to higher environments following best practices

    Required Skills & Experience

    + 4–6 years of hands-on experience in **OpenText landscape** supporting various ECM platforms.

    + Strong experience with **OpenText AppWorks** platform and low-code development.

    + Proficiency in integrating with **OTDS** and **Content Server** .

    + Hands-on experience with **Java web services** and WSDL-based integrations.

    + Knowledge of **REST APIs** and UDDI connectors.

    + Familiarity with **OpenText Magellan Reporting Services** .

    + Expertise in system installation, configuration, and upgrades of OpenText components.

    + Understanding of document migration tools and reporting frameworks.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

    + Excellent team player with a willingness to train and mentor others.
