Position Description:
This role is within a 238-bed acute care hospital serving the local community. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services, including adult and pediatric ER care, advanced cardiac assessment and treatment, certified women’s services, and stroke care. It also offers orthopedic and joint replacement care, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. The hospital has the only Pediatric ER, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region, and is accredited in breast care and chest pain treatment.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, including oversight of staff and patient care, collaboration with medical staff, and active participation in community education and departmental resource management.
Job Duties:
+ Participate in department and hospital committees, ensuring staff involvement as appropriate
+ Assess and assist with staff development programs
+ Administer services during designated shift in collaboration with management team; develop staff schedules with department leadership
+ Supervise staff regarding conflict resolution, personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
+ Facilitate onboarding and integration of new employees through preceptor collaboration
+ Maintain sound knowledge of nursing practice, equipment operation, and policies/procedures
+ Report repair and maintenance issues promptly
+ Conduct quality checks (e.g., refrigerator/freezer, crash cart, blanket warmers) and other unit-specific indicators
+ Implement active case management for patients under supervision
+ Assist with clinical procedures as needed
+ Perform data collection and analysis to improve care and processes
Qualifications:
+ 3–5 years of recent acute care ED leadership experience
+ Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution
+ Must be enrolled in BSN program
+ Current FL RN license or appropriate compact licensure; if out-of-state compact license, must obtain FL RN license within 90 days
+ Advanced Nurse Practitioner license acceptable
+ BLS/BCLS certification required within 30 days

**Pay Details:** $86,000.00 to $116,000.00 per year
