    Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)

    **Location:** Gainesville, FL

    Pay Range:

    + Under 1 year: $ 27.42/hr

    + 2-3 years: $ 29.89/hr

    + 4-5 years: $ 31.12/hr

    + 6-7 years: $ 32.36/hr

    + 9-10+ years: $ 33.59/hr

    + 16+ years: $ 36.95/hr **Shift Differentials:** Nights $4.25/hr | Weekends $ 3.00/hr **Shift:** Nights (Rotating Weekends) **Bonus:** $20,000 Sign-On Bonus (Nights Only) **Relocation Assistance:** Case by case **Experience:** ICU and critical care preferred; will consider home care, long-term care, and CRT experience

    Position Summary

    The Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality respiratory care in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols. Responsibilities include delivering and maintaining respiratory therapies and equipment such as oxygen and ventilators, performing arterial blood gas analysis, and educating patients and staff. The therapist collaborates effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Administer and maintain respiratory therapies and equipment

    + Perform and interpret arterial blood gases

    + Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and clinical teams

    + Provide teaching and reassessment to patients and staff

    + Recognize and report patient abuse and neglect

    + Follow established respiratory care practices and protocols

    Qualifications

    + Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience (acute care areas such as ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or critical care unit preferred)

    + Candidates with home care, long-term care, or CRT experience considered

    + Florida State Respiratory License required

    + NBRC RRT or CRT credential required

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification

    + ACLS certification required within 30 days of employment

    + NRP and PALS certifications required within 30 days of employment

    **Pay Details:** $27.42 to $36.95 per hour
