**Position:** IT Helpdesk Technician _(Temp-to-Hire)_
**Department:** Information Technology
**Reports To:** Helpdesk Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated **ONSITE** IT Helpdesk Technician to join our IT team on a **temp-to-hire** basis. This role is responsible for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting IT systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations while delivering exceptional technical support to end users.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide first-level technical support to end users by responding to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails.
+ Diagnose, research, and resolve hardware, software, and system issues in a timely manner.
+ Document, track, and monitor reported issues to ensure proper resolution and follow-up.
+ Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 7/8.1/10/11), Microsoft Office, and imaging technologies.
+ Deploy and support computer hardware and peripherals as needed.
+ Assist with the research and implementation of technology solutions related to Helpdesk support.
+ Provide off-hours support as required, including taking company-provided equipment home to respond to support needs.
+ Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Strong customer service skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
+ Solid understanding of computer hardware components (SSD, RAM, processors, etc.).
+ General knowledge of IT systems and how they interconnect.
+ Familiarity with mobile devices, including iPhone and iOS.
+ Basic working knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN networking.
+ Ability to follow safety policies and company guidelines at all times.
Best Candidates Will Have
+ Hands-on **networking experience** in a business or enterprise environment.
+ Experience **configuring and troubleshooting network devices** .
+ **Router configuration** and support experience.
+ **Firewall experience** , including basic configuration and troubleshooting.
Education
+ Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, relevant certifications, or equivalent hands-on IT experience.
Experience
+ Minimum of 1 year of IT Helpdesk or related experience.
+ Relevant IT certifications are a plus and will receive higher consideration.
Schedule
+ **Flexible start times available:**
+ **8:00 AM – 4:30 PM**
+ **6:00 AM – 3:00 PM**
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
+ May be exposed to equipment noise, heat, cold, and dust in a manufacturing or office environment.
+ Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and stretch for extended periods as required by job duties.
+ Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier items with company-provided assistance.
+ Must follow all OSHA, EPA, state, and federal safety regulations.
+ Ability to effectively communicate in business-level English.

**Pay Details:** $26.00 to $27.00 per hour
