Position Description:
This role is within a 221-bed acute care hospital serving the local community. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center and provides a full-service cardiovascular program, including open-heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services. Other services include orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation, and complete imaging services.
Job Summary:
+ Provides leadership and accountability for safe, high-quality patient care in assigned departments. Ensures nursing practice, policies, and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Directs continuity of care using an interdisciplinary team approach. Collaborates with physicians, patients, and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment.
+ Develops and implements programs to monitor and improve the quality of nursing care, patient safety, and service excellence.
+ Coordinates patient care with other hospital departments and ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are maintained.
+ Participates in rounding and proactively responds to patient needs to improve outcomes and patient experience.
+ Fosters a culture of patient-centered care and a healing environment.
Patient & Family Communication:
+ Communicates with patients, families, and staff in a caring, empathetic, courteous, and respectful manner.
+ Ensures patients and families are informed about care, treatment, and discharge planning.
+ Collaborates effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
+ Oversees pain management practices and ensures proper operational protocols are in place.
Qualifications:
+ 3 years of recent (within last year) acute care leadership experience in ICU
+ NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment start date
+ Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor within 30 days of start date
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor within 6 months of start date
+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 6 months of start date
+ Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree
+ Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license

**Pay Details:** $79,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
