    Position Overview

    A full-service acute care hospital is seeking a **Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)** to join its respiratory care team. This facility provides comprehensive inpatient and emergency services and is recognized for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

     

    The Certified Respiratory Therapist will assess patients’ respiratory needs, develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients across all age groups. This role requires strong clinical skills, independence, and a commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Operate and manage acute care ventilators for both short- and long-term mechanical ventilation.

    + Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans.

    + Administer routine and complex respiratory therapy treatments to patients of all ages.

    + Maintain accurate and timely documentation of respiratory treatments in electronic medical records.

    + Work independently when necessary in the absence of a team leader.

    + Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards.

    Qualifications

    + Completion of a vocational/technical program or an AMA-approved respiratory care program

    + Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

    + Current **Florida State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)** license

    + **BLS** certification (American Heart Association) required

    + **ACLS, PALS, and NRP** certifications required within 6 months of hire

    + Ability to meet physical demands, including frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and movement
