Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Westborough, Massachusetts. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations while developing your accounting expertise. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and skilled in handling a variety of accounting tasks within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily deposit records and ensure accurate tallying of funds.

• Sort incoming checks and mail, organizing them efficiently for further processing.

• Input daily financial data into banking systems with precision.

• Audit and distribute correspondence, including Over-spec letters, to clients.

• Verify deposit details, including payee information, amounts, and client accounts.

• Communicate necessary billing adjustments to relevant departments.

• Compile and review monthly activity reports to ensure accuracy.

• Generate reports related to carrier payments and other financial transactions.

• Complete assigned departmental projects within specified timelines.

• Maintain organized records through filing and scanning of important documents. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks software for accounting tasks.

• Strong data entry skills with high levels of accuracy.

• Experience in invoice processing and reconciliation.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and clients.

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role preferred.
