Job Title: Geotechnical EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and will be involved in various tasks related to soils laboratory assistance and the review of boring logs. Additionally, the role includes participating in fieldwork activities such as materials testing, soil sampling, and foundation observation. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across Kentucky and to develop a career path towards becoming a Project Manager or potentially a Geotechnical PE.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in soils laboratory tasks and review boring logs.
+ Participate in fieldwork including materials testing, soil sampling, and foundation observation.
+ Collaborate with the team to ensure quality and timely completion of projects.
Essential Skills
+ Civil Engineering Degree
+ Proficiency in civil and geotechnical design
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Consulting experience is preferred
+ Engineer In Training (EIT) certification is advantageous
Work Environment
The position involves working on-site with projects located throughout Kentucky, primarily involving day travel. Initially, you will report to the Lexington office each morning and travel with colleagues in a company truck. There is potential for independent travel in a company truck in the future. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain relevant experience and work on a variety of projects.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr.
