About Woodland Job Corps Center
The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) and gain hands-on training in: Electrical Wiring Carpentry Building Construction Technology Culinary Arts Advanced Culinary Arts Hotel & Lodging
We also assist students with job placement upon completion of their educational and career technical training.

Position Summary
Responsible for providing instruction and training in the Career Education Center. You will:
+ Develop individual achievement plans and academic goals for students
+ Collaborate with Career Technical Training instructors to integrate applied academics into CTT curricula
+ Ensure strict confidentiality and integrity of student data
Main Duties
+ Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
+ Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ needs, learning styles, and abilities
+ Provide academic training leading to GED/HSD completion and improved literacy/numeracy skills
+ Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
+ Collaborate with counselors, residential advisors, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student success
+ Act as a mentor and positive role model—demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding
+ Maintain a well-organized classroom and hold students accountable for dress code and behavioral standards
+ Partner with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services
+ Participate in professional development, workshops, and training sessions
+ Help the Center meet or exceed DOL/Company performance goals
+ Communicate effectively, contributing ideas and providing timely, high-quality information to DOL/Company
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required; Master’s degree preferred
+ Must possess MSDE Secondary Education Educators Certification
+ Previous teaching experience or Job Corps experience preferred
