Position: Hospitality & Lodging Instructor Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:45am – 4:45pm (OFF Saturday & Sunday) Salary: $50,000 annually

The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or GED, while gaining hands-on training in:

Position Summary
Responsible for providing students with industry-recognized instruction and training in Hospitality & Lodging, ensuring students develop the skills needed to excel in the hospitality industry. Maintains confidentiality of student data and upholds high professional standards.
Responsibilities
+ Follow all integrity guidelines and ensure no manipulation of student data
+ Ensure the Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals
+ Provide students with training leading to Career Technical Training completion and industry-recognized certifications
+ Offer individualized case management to ensure student progress, achievement, and program completion
+ Deliver quality hospitality and lodging training that leads to student placement
+ Provide job leads and monitor the placement of all graduates
+ Maintain a well-organized classroom conducive to student learning
+ Hold students accountable to dress code and behavioral standards
+ Produce work and assignments thoroughly, timely, and accurately
+ Maintain appropriate attendance, accountability, and productivity standards
+ Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet goals and deadlines
+ Understand and apply job knowledge to complete responsibilities effectively and maintain skills proactively
+ Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
+ Provide high-quality supervision and management for students, positively influence behavior, and show respect while holding students accountable
+ Ensure programs and services meet quality standards and student needs
+ Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, contributing meaningfully to team efforts
+ Identify problems, analyze causes, evaluate solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution
+ Collaborate with staff from all departments to provide effective supervision and student services
+ Accept direction from Center leadership and perform temporary assignments in other departments as needed

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
+ Minimum one-year experience in teaching or related field
+ Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state of the center, or by a professional trade organization
+ For NTC, certification required by a union, trade organization, or national trade certifying body
+ Previous Job Corps experience preferred
+ Valid Driver’s License and meet company insurability requirements
Physical requirements:
+ Ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull/push, carry, reach, stoop, crouch
+ Ability to lift 40 pounds or assess lift load to request assistance (depending on trade)
