    Element has an opportunity for a **Senior Test Technician** to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Senior Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

    Salary: $25/hr-$32/hr DOE

     

    Position located in customer laboratory with testing applications mostly, but not limited to, packaging materials

    Responsibilities

    + Preferred knowledge in DSC, DMA, TGA, Melt Flow, Environmental Stress Cracking (ESCR), Mechanical Test Strength (MTS)

    + Materials or Polymer Engineering Degree preferred.

    Skills / Qualifications

    Other Skills and Abilities:

    • Possesses the ability to perform lower to intermediate complex testing.

    • Ability to work alone the majority of the workday; only requiring assistance for clarification or confirmation of test procedures.

    • Effectively manages time and practices accountability for the testing to be performed.

    • Ability to take testing projects from start to finish, completing each step properly.

    • Ability to hold team members and peer technicians accountable for the testing requirements.

    • Advanced ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required in accordance with customer specifications.

    • Ability to construct and maintain test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order based on client needs.

    • Ability to maintain and repair equipment.

    • Ensures timely and accurate results with little supervision and technical input.

    • Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs. is required
