Job Title: Structural Technician** **Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies, performing functional qualification testing, and harness routing between kit assemblies. You will play a critical role in coordinated vehicle movements and integrated pressurized ground operations.

Responsibilities

+ Complete work order operations, quality buyoffs, and issue hardware.

+ Build mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.

+ Perform functional qualification testing and harness routing between kit assemblies.

+ Proficiently use various mechanical tools.

+ Maintain, troubleshoot, and install fluid and electromechanical components from schematics or drawings.

+ Work closely with engineers and leadership to develop and implement operational improvements focused on driving task times down and ease of repeatability.

+ Rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.

+ Play a critical role in coordinated vehicle movements and integrated pressurized ground operations.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in a startup development environment.

+ Experience working in a flight development program.

+ A&P license preferred, but not required.

+ Experience transitioning parts/assemblies from first article to production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Modify, repair, assemble, drill, and install aircraft components.

+ Drill, ream, and countersink full-size holes in parts and assemblies.

+ Select drill bits, reamers, and/or countersinking tools for pilot and full-size holes.

+ Align parts and secure them in place using tooling/hand fasteners.

+ CAD/CAM experience preferred.

+ Basic shop knowledge of tools and equipment.

+ Previous systems development experience.

+ GSE build and operations experience.

+ Basic knowledge of GD&T and Microsoft Office.

+ Ability to take measurements using precision tools.

+ Previous experience with integration and assembly of large structural assemblies.

+ Experience and knowledge base of simple harnessing and connectorizing.

+ Ability to design and fabricate tooling necessary for safe/complete operations.

+ Experience supervising large lifts and rigging.

+ Previous experience with component-level builds and tests.

+ Ability to troubleshoot issues in-situ and redline changes for engineering.

+ Willingness to travel for test operations.

Work Environment

The work environment is partially climate-controlled, which can be hot in the summer but is equipped with large fans for comfort. Tools are provided, and the atmosphere is very collaborative, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $39.00/hr.
