    This is a full-time, tenure position in the Middle School. Start date: ASAP

    Responsibilities:

    + Working with individual pupils or groups of pupils on special instructional projects as defined by classroom teachers.

    + Providing the teacher with information about pupils, which will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning experiences.

    + Assisting pupils in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials.

    + Participating in in-service training programs as assigned.

    + Maintaining the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully certified teachers.

    + Assisting in related instructional work and evaluation as required by teachers.

    + Planning lesson and units in conjunction with the classroom teachers.

    + Assist with educational support and classroom transitions of identified special education students.

    + Offer behavioral support to identified students when disruptions occur.

    + Assist monitoring the identified students in the cafeteria on a regular/as needed basis.

    + Carrying out any other assigned duties deemed appropriate by the Administration and the Board of Education.
