    Description

    The primary purpose of the Human Resources Manger's job is to perform and advise others in the performance of the certain HR functions, including interviewing and hiring staff; overseeing / auditing payroll; administering group insurance benefits; administering leaves of absence in compliance with company policies and federal & state regulations; and administering and advising supervisors and managers in communicating and administering the Company's policies and practices.

    Main Duties:

    + Advise managers on organizational policy matters and recommend any changes.

    + Create/maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, promotions or performance reviews.

    + Perform all functions of on-boarding/termination of employees.

    + Audit weekly payroll processing the office manager does all payroll but they will be overseeing the process

    + Ensure all required weekly/ monthly reporting is accurate and submitted on time.

    + Advise & assist supervisors and managers in administering discipline and handling grievances

    + Perform benefit administration including; claims resolution, participant enrollment and communicating benefit information.

    + Negotiate and approve property and casualty insurance and workers compensation insurance.

    + Support managers and employees with any HR needs.

    + Maintaining and protecting employee files & documents

    + Protecting the confidentiality of pay and payroll information; protecting employee PHI while administering group insurance programs

    + Handling management or business information that is not available to nonmanagement employees or outsiders

    + Safeguarding information obtained or developed in workplace investigations; and administering and advising others in the administration of performance and disciplinary actions.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 5 + years of HR experience with at least the last 2 in a manager-level role

    + Bachelor's degree preferred

    + PHR/SPHR or SHRM certificate

    + Union experience or experience with certified payroll

    This is a Contract position based out of Anaheim, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $58.00/hr.
