    POSITION SUMMARY

    The essence of the role is to safely deliver and pick up product to and from suppliers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in timely and efficient manner, and to perform receiving functions to support the accurate and timely receipt of material.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Ability to read maps and plan daily routes efficiently.

    + Ability to work with others at LSI or away from LSI in a friendly manner.

    + Knowledge of all rules and regulations that govern truck drivers.

    + Perform preventative vehicle maintenance, to ensure proper and save operating.

    + Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any findings.

    + Perform receiving functions as needed to support the timely receipt of product.

    + Deliver materials to internal customers as needed by hand, dolly, or forklift.

    + Perform any other duties in the best interest of the company as required.

    ATTRIBUTES

    + Valid MN Driver’s License w/Class A CDL – with Air Brakes endorsement

    + Forklift Certified or ability to become certified

    + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

    + Ability to identify and solve problems

    + Basic computer skills

    + Ability to accurately count by hand or with use of scales

    + Some Blue Print reading skills preferred

    + Good Driving Record

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + High school diploma or GED; or six to twelve months related experience

    + Forklift Certification Preferred

    + Valid MN Class A CDL license – with Air Brakes endorsement

    + Ability to work with and around others

    + Minimum of 2-3 years of driving experience

     

    The target hourly range is $26.00 - $29.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; paid time off and paid holidays; 401(k) retirement plan and employee stock ownership plan.
