Job Title: Legal Assistant

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $45000 - $55000

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Job Duties:

+ Schedule court appearances

+ Telephone communication to confirm client appointments and appearances

+ Handle clients criminal and municipal court matters

+ Handle ecourts, calendar system and working with electronic discovery downloads.

+ Document preparation of routine appearance and adjournment letters

+ Check emails on the weekend

Requirements:

+ Direct experience in municipal and criminal law required

+ Strong knowledge of criminal and municipal court procedures, terminology, and filing systems

+ Proficiency with legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office

+ Excellent typing, proofreading, and document formatting skills

+ Ability to prioritize multiple matters and meet strict deadlines

+ High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
