QA Project Engineer – Remote
System One is actively seeking a QA Project Engineer with strong commercial nuclear experience and expertise in ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21. This position supports project quality activities for a major client in the nuclear industry. The role is fully remote with occasional travel for project needs.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the primary QA interface for cross-functional project teams and external partners.
+ Support and advise on quality and process-related issues across multiple projects.
+ Coordinate and prepare responses to customer RFIs and proposal/marketing activities.
+ Develop, maintain, and apply project quality requirements traceability matrices.
+ Manage first-of-a-kind project issues and ensure QA activities are accurately integrated into project plans.
+ Identify, escalate, and resolve quality-related challenges and project risks.
+ Provide direction to QA leads, supervisors, and supporting quality personnel.
+ Develop and maintain QA procedures, workflows, and process improvements.
+ Support risk assessments, mitigation planning, and project reviews.
+ Perform additional project and QA duties as assigned.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
+ Minimum 8 years of Quality Assurance experience in the commercial nuclear industry.
+ Strong working knowledge of:
+ ASME NQA-1
+ 10 CFR 50 Appendix B
+ 10 CFR 21
+ Experience serving as QA lead on large, complex projects.
+ Experience developing requirement traceability matrices.
+ Strong communication, technical writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
+ Knowledge of ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1.
+ ISO 9001 or international QA standard experience strongly preferred.
+ Must be eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use standard office equipment.
+ Occasional travel required.
Compensation
+ Target Pay Range: $127,104 – $153,401 annually
+ Full Pay Range: $113,955 – $178,237 annually
Compensation is based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
