Delgado Community College is a dynamic, open-admissions community college providing high-quality education through innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. This position works under Students Affairs, Answer Center/Contact Center. TheAnswer Centeris a central source of admissions and enrollment services for students. Cross-trained employees provides services and general information on registration, advising, testing, financial assistance, admissions and navigating LOLA (Delgado’s online student portal). The Center also provides students with direct referrals to other offices and services throughout the College.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Function of Work:
This position is responsible for answering the incoming phone calls for Delgado and providing information about all aspects of the College. Employees will troubleshoot and resolve Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Student Service, and general college inquiries. They will also place outbound calls, send emails, and communicate by 2-way text to prospects, applicants, and enrolled students to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.
Job Duties:
+ Accesses the student information system to review student accounts and accurately respond to inquiries while adhering to policy and procedures of the department and College.
+ Assesses the caller's needs to determine the appropriate resolution steps.
+ Transfers students to the departments as trained.
+ Guides students through navigating LoLA, Delgado's online self-service portal, and ConexED, Delgado's academic communication tool.
+ Answers general questions using all provided resources about the College.
+ Uses our two-way text platform to respond to general inquiries about the enrollment process from prospective and applied students.
+ Places outbound calls to the targeted prospects, applicants, and enrolled students as needed
