Scope of Position
Leads strategic product development and business initiatives for Hydronic Solutions, driving innovative technologies and integrated solutions that reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and deliver cost savings. Collaborates across teams to implement a roadmap that supports growth and profitability for the Watts portfolio.
No supervisory responsibilities.
This position reports to Sr. Product Manager, Hydronic Solutions. This role is onsite and is based in Blauvelt, NY.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Identify forefront technologies aimed at the optimization or decarbonization of the heating and hot water industry and evaluate their market readiness.
+ Research market trends and develop business cases, as appropriate, for leading edge product and services that can be bundled and/or packaged to offer commercial hydronic solutions.
+ Assess, initiate, and champion product enhancements and beneficial accessory products and services.
+ Lead all aspects of the product life cycle, including developing brand roadmaps, identifying, driving, and implementing key growth initiatives from conception through launch. This may include:
+ Conducting robust voice-of-customer events and surveys to validate market opportunities and assess competitive dynamics.
+ Specifying market requirements for current and future products
+ Developing business cases and commercial specifications for new product solutions
+ Responsible for growth and profitability of Product Line(s). Metrics to include orders volume, sales and contribution margin for given Product Line(s)
+ Responsible for achieving price and mix targets within product scope to achieve expected profitability.
+ Leading the product realization process in conjunction with PMO, Engineering and Operations
+ Work directly with customers and Sales Team to understand and communicate product value proposition, competitive advantages/disadvantages while driving needed changes to meet customers’ needs.
+ Create, inspire and encourage compelling sales tools, case studies, product literature, and multimedia sales collateral to drive product adoption.
+ Provide cross-training for sales managers, NPD engineering, Controls Engineering, pre-sales and post-sales support teams, and provide support through product lifecycle.
+ Collaborate with sales and marketing to support go-to-market activities, sales promotions/campaigns, etc.
+ Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Sr. Manager, Hydronic Solutions or Company management.
+ Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)
+ Travel Requirements:30% domestically and 5% internationally.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field.
+ 5+ years of relevant HVAC (boilers or water heaters) industry experience, if business degree.
+ Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable
+ 4+ years of combined experience in product management, technical sales, marketing, systems applications/engineering experience within HVAC industry.
+ Knowledge of design, operations, and/or service requirements of hydronic heating technologies.
+ Proven track record in managing new product introductions and product life cycle a plus.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; especially when presenting to customers, representatives, and leadership.
+ Strong organizational and planning skills, be proactive and a self-starter. Attention to detail is a critical required skill.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including drug screen, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
+ MBA or industry relevant master’s degree.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Blauvelt, NY] location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

+ Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
+ Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
Pay Range:
The expected salary range for this position is $104K- $121K, 10% bonus yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
