    JOB SUMMARY:

    Assembles, disassembles, repairs, and/or modifies aircraft components by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle sub\-components, consumables, and expendables to correct failures or implement upgrades or modifications\. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

     

    * Follows technical data, company procedures, and established industry processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance \(e\.g\., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results\)\.

    * Perform validation and verification testing of components\.

    * Troubleshoots complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to isolate mechanical or other faults and repairs faulty components\.

    * Operate shop equipment to disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair aircraft components and assemblies\.

    * Perform corrosion control, maintenance inspections, miscellaneous duties to service components and test equipment, documents maintenance, records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily\.

    * Support the configuration of aircraft components and bench test equipment as required\.

    * Assist other employees to understand / solve problems; develops and sustains productive customer relationships

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

    * Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification\.

    * FAA Airframe & Powerplant license preferred\.

     

    Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable\.

     

    * Minimum 6 months of mechanical experience is required\.

    * Aircraft maintenance experience is preferred

    * Dynamic component repair, overhaul, and maintenance experience or knowledge of complex mechanical systems or components is preferred\.
