Position Description:
Introduction and Training on all aspects of the credentialing and enrollment processes for all medical staff members who
provide patient care, treatment and service at TTUHSC El Paso.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Ensures compliance with TTUHSC El Paso Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and other accrediting and regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, NCQA and DNV.
+ Coordinates in the credentialing/enrollment process for the medical staff, allied health professionals and temporary privileges.
+ Enters accurate and up to date data for all providers into the credentialing database to include, but not limited to, demographic and personal information, education/training, licensure, DEA, liability information, board certification status and health plan enrollment information. Ensures credentialing/enrollment files are complete and accurate.
+ Maintains a tickler system ensure that all expired credentials are reviewed, requested and managed on a timely basis according to the credentialing policy and procedures. May attend, take minutes and participate in Credentials Committee meeting as directed. Maintains confidentiality of all business/work and medical staff information.
+ Provides general clinical support to both Credentialing and Enrollment sections to include copying, filing, data entry, on campus pick up and delivery of documents and other tasks requested.
+ Learn to develop queries and spreadsheets for reporting and generates custom reports and forms as needed for manage healthcare plans.
+ Introduction and training on how to monitor additions/termination of providers in 25+ contracted manage healthcare plans and maintains integrity of current data in CACTUS software so that departments are kept abreast of provider’s effective dates.
+ Assures all provider credentialing/enrollment files have all original documentation as required.
+ Performs all other duties as assigned.
+ Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
+ Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
+ Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
