Rehab Support Technician / Physical Therapy

We’re searching for a Rehab Support Tech, assists in maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment. Assures that necessary supplies are readily available. Assists therapists in providing occupational, physical and speech therapy services to children. Assists with secretarial/clerical duties **.**
Essential Functions
+ Maintains treatment areas
+ Organizes treatment areas, gym during change of patients
+ Cleans toys and restocks toys every hour throughout the day
+ Cleans mats, cruising surfaces, mat tables, benches, tables daily
+ Cleans treadmill, stairstepper, NuStep, play structure daily
+ Cleans bolsters, wedges, balls, baskets a minimum of weekly
+ Cleans microwave and refrigerators weekly
+ Maintains appropriate levels of personal protective equipment in patient care areas (masks, gowns, gloves, bandaids, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, CPR masks)
+ Maintains appropriate levels of clean linen in patient care areas
+ Inventories and stocks food and feeding supplies in feeding rooms
+ Maintains organization of office file cabinets, bookshelves, cabinets.
+ Maintains and inventories items used for standardized testing
+ Reorganizes toy cabinets, supplies
+ Maintains appropriate inventory levels of patient and department supplies
+ Inventories and restocks office and patient care supplies in a timely manner
+ Obtains appropriate levels of approval for special order supplies
+ Maintains availability of linen supplies
+ Notifies therapist of any delays in obtaining special order items
+ Aids therapists in the provision of high quality patient care
+ Follows therapist direction when assisting with treatment sessions
+ Interacts appropriately with patients and caregivers
+ Transports patients in a safe manner and according to direction
+ Assists therapists with fabrication of supplies
+ Clerical Duties
+ Answers phones in a customer friendly manner
+ Communicates messages accurately and in a timely manner
+ Greets and checks in patients following department procedures
+ Completes faxing/photocopying according to instructions
+ Assists in the orientation of and works collaboratively with volunteers/interns.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
+ Ability to read and write
+ Ability to follow oral and written directions and take direction from many different individuals
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision
+ Good time management skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Medical setting and working with children experience preferred
