Summary
The CM/UR Software Implementation specialist works within the Corporate Case Management department and reports up to the Director of Clinical Data Performance, up to the VP of Corporate Case Management. Employee works in collaboration with all Cerner, Morcare, MCG, ABOUT, Rev Cycle, CHS Corporate Leadership, & CHS IT to assist with successful implementation of the above software products used by the CM/UR departments.
Employee also works with the third party vendors and all CHS CM and UR employees to provide education across the CHS continuum prior to and during all software implementations, upgrades, or changes in the CM/UR space. Will require 20-25% travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implementation activities for Facility Software Conversions. Responsible for supporting a team and traveling to facilities undergoing major software conversions, to assist the facility Case Management/UR teams during the go live process.
+ Education of CM/UR staff before, during, and after go live event
+ Collaboration with third party vendors and facility to develop workflows
+ Remote and in-person support for all conversion related tasks
+ Will require occasional weekend availability
+ Will require monitoring and accessing all project related documents and announcements located on the Cerner project portal site.
+ Will require travel to facilities in the months leading up to the go live to work with staff and collect data pre conversion
+ Will require travel for 3-5 days respectively for each software conversion
Develop and deliver education for all incumbent and newly hired UR and CM employees for all software products. .
+ Setting up weekly meetings with all stakeholders and third party vendor staff (if needed)
+ Providing/Creating ongoing education of new software functionality

+ Applications include
+ MorCare CM and UM documentation software(shared responsibility)
+ NaviHealth post acute provider software(shared responsibility)
+ ABOUT post acute provider software(shared responsibility)
+ Cerner Acute Care Management CM and UM documentation software
+ MCG medical necessity review software (shared responsibility)
+ Rev Cycle Billing Software (future project, pending education)
+ Rightfax medical record uploading/faxing software (shared responsibility.future project, pending education)
+ Emprint medical record uploading and document (future project, pending education)
Attends meetings associated with facility software conversions, i.e., facility conversion workshops, facility current state review meetings, conversion testing events, governance calls, coding upgrade calls, and conversion education classes.
Builds, assigns, and reviews compliance for documentation courses assigned under the CM/UR catalog inside of the ALC.
+ Pulls and reviews weekly reports to insure students are compliant with assigned due dates
+ Participates in the ALC yearly review of all courses assigned under case management and UR, and provides any updates to the online courses that are needed
Responsible for collaborating with Regional Care Managers Directors who reach out with a request for urgent education for their employees in regards to new software changes.

Follow up review with facility to track progress
Train the MCG medical necessity review software to newly hired employees , and provide a yearly review to all incumbent CM and UR employees who will be completing medical necessity reviews.
Attend and participates in auditor/education meetings to discuss educational development, classes, and any other issues related to current education programs and processes

Qualifications
+ Required Education: Registered Nurse
+ Preferred Education: BSN, MSN, Clinical Informatics
Required Experience:
+ Acute Care experience working with EMR in an Acute Care hospital minimum 1-2 years
+ Clinical Case Management 1-2 years
+ Utilization Review Experience

The Employee will need to be able to travel (20-25% )to facility sites for as long as 5 days at a time for software conversions and go live events
The Employee may be asked to work weekends
This Employee may be required to conduct testing or cut over projects overnight during software implementations and coding upgrade events.
