Logistics Specialist

Adecco is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our night operations team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our freight movement, ensuring that shipments are tracked, drivers are supported, and customers are kept informed throughout the night. You will handle everything from data entry in our Freight Optimizer system to resolving complex delivery issues.
+ Location: Onsite in Lansing, MI
+ Pay Rate: $18.00 / hour
+ Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM (Night shift)
Responsibilities:
+ Maintain accurate customer profiles and enter load details from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system.
+ Keep Account Managers, receivers, and customers updated on load statuses and provide immediate solutions for "problem loads."
+ Track daily pickups and deliveries to ensure every shipment arrives on time and in perfect condition.
+ Conduct "check calls" with drivers to verify ETAs and provide detailed routing instructions or facility directions.
+ Investigate and document any product overages, shortages, or damages (OS&D).
+ Coordinate, schedule, and reschedule delivery appointments; manage load acceptance/declines based on Account Manager guidance.
+ Validate all load data before closing shipments to ensure seamless accounting and billing.
Qualifications:
+ At least 1 year of experience in a logistics or transportation environment.
+ A solid general understanding of the transportation and freight industry.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Strong skills in writing routine reports and professional correspondence.
+ The ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form.

**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
