DESCRIPTION:

The **Senior Superintendent** reports to the Project Manager and leads daily construction activities in accordance with the project plan. Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues. Responsible for inspiring all field personnel to perform at the highest level possible.

+ Possess a working knowledge & understanding of logistics and scheduling.

+ Responsible for reporting cost codes and daily labor units.

+ Responsible for the daily reports & reporting of any job specific impacts that may occur regarding time delay, scheduling conflicts & or cost implications to the General Superintendent.

+ Manages & monitors construction activity to maintain compliance with contract specs and company quality & safety standards.

+ Supervises and monitors the performance of area superintendents.

+ Prepares labor production budget & establishes & maintains labor control in coordination with superintendents & reviews cost reports with General Superintendent.

+ Settle any union jurisdictional disputes that may arise. Works cooperatively & proactively to maintain labor union relations.

+ Assigns work to field personnel.

+ Reports labor time & approves timesheets.

+ Prepares, reviews & initials Daily Construction Reports.

+ Participates in preconstruction meetings.

+ Reviews & verified weekly quantities.

+ Coordinates special inspections as required.

+ Ensures subcontractors follow Safety Procedures

+ Demonstrates full & current knowledge of all OSHA Safety requirements & maintains compliance with these requirements on the job site at all times.

+ Communicates job status to Project Manager and other management team members on a regular basis.

+ Represents Company at all times with professionalism & a commitment to quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

+ 15 or more years of construction experience

+ 5 or more years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects valued over $100M

+ Excellent knowledge of construction, craft activities, cost control, schedules & safety

+ Ability to work independently while working in a strong team environment.

+ Ability to prioritize work to accommodate deadlines with minimum supervision

+ Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

+ Proficiency and working experience in Microsoft Office Platform.

+ Basic knowledge of Procore software preferred

+ Must have a valid driver’s license
