    Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

     

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, identifying faulty equipment, acquiring parts, and completing necessary repairs. You will also handle maintenance and repairs related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, as well as interior and exterior structural safety and appliances.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.

    + Identify and repair faulty equipment, ensuring proper functionality.

    + Acquire necessary parts for repair and maintenance tasks.

    + Follow instructions provided by the supervisor to complete tasks within the given timeframe and according to specifications.

    + Collaborate with other employees to maintain a safe working environment.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned work area.

    + Perform tasks related to painting, facilities maintenance, and mechanical work.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.

    + Strong understanding of safety procedures and troubleshooting techniques.

    + Ability to perform preventative maintenance effectively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in drywall, painting, and repair work.

    + Capability to maintain walls and perform structural repairs.

    + Adaptability to work in a metal fabrication manufacturing site.

    Work Environment

    The work takes place at a metal fabrication manufacturing site, which can be loud and dusty. Be prepared for cold conditions in winter and hot conditions in summer.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
