    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Employee Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring workplace health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This position plays a key role in promoting a safe work environment, conducting risk assessments, training employees, and supporting incident investigations. The role also involves maintaining accurate safety records, analyzing data to identify trends, and recommending improvements to minimize risks and enhance employee well-being.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Conducts regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.

    • Develops and delivers employee health and safety training programs, including emergency response, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

    • Investigates workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepares reports and recommends corrective actions.

    • Maintains accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.

    • Collaborates with management and employees to identify hazards and implement preventive measures.

    • Supports ergonomic assessments and wellness initiatives to promote employee health.

    • Assists in developing and updating safety policies, procedures, and manuals.

    • Monitors safety metrics and prepares reports for management review.

    • Serves as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, EHS software, E-Mail, scanning and copying equipment.

     

    Certificates & Licenses: OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.

    Other Requirements:

    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Mt. Juliet, TN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.90/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be

    subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits
