    Position Summary:

    This position is responsible for cross functional process improvements, leveraging data analytics that accomplish operations and engineering business imperatives. It will provide change leadership for global company wide impact. A Lead Manufacturing Analyst is the subject matter expert responsible for analyzing and transforming data into meaningful insight, including the technical requirements to extract, build and troubleshoot data sources and visualization tools. The role must communicate concise recommendations to senior leaders to drive new ideas and operational excellence.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    This position is responsible for identifying, managing and implementing sustainable process improvement activities, leveraging data analytics that accomplish operations and engineering business imperatives in support of the organizational strategy. A Lead Manufacturing Analyst is responsible for analyzing and transforming data into meaningful insight to drive operational excellence. Analytics and improvements will create new opportunities to drive advanced manufacturing and continuous improvement and support existing operational needs.

     

    The position will make recommendations to senior leadership/executives and stakeholders around varying topics related to manufacturing execution, shop floor support, and engineering. The role will require cross functional collaboration and establish and implement the standardization and governance of Operations and Corporate reporting through the use of maintenance-friendly systems for an optimized user experience. This change leadership will have global company wide impact.

     

    Analysis will lead to changes to Safety, Quality, Cost, Service, and People. Some examples include:

     

    + Time Savings - Automated Tasks vs Manual Collection

    + Reduction in Spend (e.g., tooling analysis)

    + Project Execution & Resource Planning (Improvement Portfolio)

    + Associate Health & Safety (trending analysis-safety)

    + Opportunity Identification: required to understand and communicate project requirements, impacts, and progress to all affected departments.

    + Engineering Impacts (e.g., cycle times, program & routing changes)

    + Process Health (e.g., engineering change management, part add workflows)

    + Labor & Cost Saves (e.g., cost position of a value stream)

    + Overall Equipment Effectiveness & Utilization per Product Line

    + Conducts quantitative analysis to identify and lead opportunities to achieve business imperatives. Initiates further analysis and recommendations based on findings.

    + Proactively identifies potential disruptions to manufacturing execution and product growth. Collaborates across the organization to prevent variances leveraging available system solutions, relationship and escalating when appropriate.

    + Recognized as subject matter expert and can teach manufacturing and engineering concepts across the organization.

    + Key contributor or leader of project teams working to drive optimization and overall shop floor success. Utilize project management methodologies.

    + Creates and presents recommendations and advice in a concise manner to all levels of leadership

    + Cultivates and leverages relationships across the organization to resolve issues and create best practices.

    + Able to independently extract and interpret relevant data on an ad hoc basis and complete complex analysis.

    + Generates new ideas and drives change initiatives.

    + Models an innovative mindset.

    + Continuously looks for ways to benchmark and improve processes through analysis of methods and models.

    + Makes adjustments to the analysis using the most effective method.

    + Analyzes requirements to troubleshoot problems and/or answer questions.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

    **Required** : bachelor’s degree and 7-10+ years of experience in previous manufacturing or engineering positions, subject matter expert on how manufacturing and engineering processes and systems work

    + Understands manufacturing and engineering functions throughout the different departments. Utilizes this knowledge to collaborate cross-functionally resulting in decisions that benefit the enterprise. Continues to build knowledge, organizational and business awareness.

    + Technology experience with various database systems (e.g., historian, SQL servers, etc.)

    + Data Governance principles (Data Management Body of Knowledge (DAMA-DMBOK2)

    + Data literacy and user experience (UX) best practices for visualization

    + Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Synapse, Power BI), SAP

    + Demonstrates the initiative to build knowledge, organizational and business awareness

    + Some experience with project management methodology, process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma), or statistics.

    + Ability to multi-task, work in teams and use multiple systems and processes to handle changing requirements.

    + Physical requirements associated with normal office working environment.

    + Ability to operate standard office equipment.

    + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

    + Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
