    Join our dynamic team as a CNC Manufacturing Engineer in Anderson, Indiana, where we manufacture engine and chassis components for the heavy trucking industry. Our facility is experiencing significant growth, and we are expanding our team to support new business ventures. We produce metal components and sub-assemblies using machining, assembly, and casting processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Work hands-on with projects and programs for new business, spending approximately 40% of your time on the floor.

    + Troubleshoot machine issues and implement process improvements to ensure smooth operations, accounting for 30% of your duties.

    + Engage in desk work, including programming and drawing using MasterCam and Solidworks, which will comprise 30% of your responsibilities.

    + Create new parts for customers from concept to completion and edit existing parts, including those transferred from sister facilities.

    + Participate in plant layout adjustments and equipment relocations as new business develops.

    + Define tooling and programming for new customer parts to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

    + Attend daily huddles with the engineering team to discuss ongoing projects and initiatives.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 7 years of experience with metal machining in a production environment.

    + Proficiency in CNC programming, with a preference for experience with MasterCam.

    + Ability to fully set up CNC machines, primarily mills (75%) and some lathes (25%).

    + Experience in conducting root cause analysis for process improvements.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.

    + Willingness to travel occasionally, including potential overnight trips to Pennsylvania.

    Work Environment

    Work hours are from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with infrequent overtime required as project deadlines approach. Our CNC shop offers a temperature-controlled environment with room for expansion. The current team consists of 25 employees, but we anticipate significant growth. When not on the production floor, you will work in an office setting alongside other engineers.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $52.88/hr.
