We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Coordinator to assist with processing bi-weekly payroll accurately using the Ultimate Software (UltiPro) system. The role ensures compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in payroll processing and involves managing Time & Attendance, maintaining precise payroll records, and supporting the company's retirement plan and workers’ compensation audits.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll accurately using the Ultimate Software (UltiPro) system.
+ Manage Time & Attendance with support staff and supervisors while maintaining precise payroll records.
+ Process and verify employee payroll changes, deductions, garnishments, regular checks, and manual checks.
+ Coordinate resolution with payroll system representatives for ongoing inquiries and requests.
+ Support the company's retirement plan and ensure timely processing.
+ Coordinate and support retirement plan and workers’ compensation audits.
+ Maintain control of company payroll files with strict confidentiality.
+ Maintain a filing system for payroll and related records.
+ Research and resolve questions from managers and employees related to payroll processing, such as PTO and tax questions.
+ Assist the Finance department with additional clerical and administrative duties as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in payroll processing, specifically with multi-state operations.
+ Proficiency in using payroll systems such as UltiPro, UKG, or Kronos.
+ Experience with garnishments and processing payroll for over 350 employees.
+ Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
+ 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree is nice to have, with a minimum of an Associate's degree required.
+ Accounting background is advantageous, including experience with journal entries and reconciliations.
+ Experience with ADP Workforce Now is beneficial.
Work Environment
This position is 100% on-site and requires a professional demeanor. The role involves working closely with both the payroll team and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Downey, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $33.65/hr.
