23-Hour Evaluation & Treatment Center
Firm Start Date: Jan 26, 2026. full week orientation (M–F, 8 AM–5 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks with extensions and temp to perm available
Local Pay Details $60/hr
Travel Pay Details
+ Taxable Rate: $31.50/hr
+ OT Rate: $90/hr
+ Stipends: $770 (housing) / $476 (meals)
+ Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,380
+ OT Available: Yes
Schedule 3x12
+ Shifts:
+ NOC: 10:00 PM – 10:30 AM
+ Day: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM
+ RTO: 3 days per 13-week contract (no holidays)
Required License/Certifications
+ WA RN or Compact License
+ BLS
+ CPI (preferred)
Minimum Skill Set
+ Clinical experience in:
+ Wound care
+ Blood draws
+ Nursing assessment
+ Intake/discharge
+ Use of restraints and seclusion
+ De-escalation techniques
+ Substance abuse/use and detox
+ Psychiatric ER and inpatient psych
+ Preferred:
+ Experience working with law enforcement
+ Opening new wards or evaluation/treatment centers
About the Facility
Cascade is opening a brand-new 23-hour Evaluation & Treatment Center designed as a Psychiatric ER. Patients may stay up to 23 hours and 59 minutes; if not ready for discharge, they transition to another Cascade inpatient unit.
+ Acceptance Rate: 97% of patients brought in; only turn away those with significant injuries.
+ Environment: Fast-paced, evolving policies, and procedures. Flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork are essential.

Job Responsibilities
+ Provide compassionate, professional care in a psychiatric ER setting
+ Observe and record patient behavior
+ Coordinate with physicians and healthcare professionals to create and evaluate care plans
+ Administer treatments and medications
+ Maintain accurate medical records and patient histories
+ Support patients and families emotionally and psychologically
+ Ensure a safe, hygienic environment and adhere to facility protocols
+ Participate in team-based problem-solving and process improvement
+ Maintain competence in age-specific and cultural care needs
Physical Demands
+ Standing and walking for long periods
+ Protective holds and physical interventions for aggressive or self-injurious behavior
+ Ability to move quickly and confidently in crisis situations
+ Successful completion of MOAB training required
The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
