    Outreach Housing Case Manager – Emergency Shelter (Part-Time)

     

    In partnership with Amergis Healthcare Staffing

    Location:

    + One role available in Haverhill, MA

    + One role available in Lawrence, MA

    Setting:

    Emergency homeless shelter serving individuals experiencing housing instability.

    Work Schedule:

    + Monday & Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    + Wednesday & Thursday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

    Contract Details:

    + 13-week assignment to start

    + Strong likelihood of extension

    + Pay: $21–$23/hr (dependent on experience)

    Position Summary

    Amergis Healthcare Staffing is collaborating with a well-respected nonprofit organization to bring on a part-time Outreach Housing Case Manager. This position plays a vital role in helping individuals who are currently unhoused connect to stable housing opportunities and essential community supports. The organization provides comprehensive training and ongoing guidance, making this a great fit for someone eager to grow in human services.

    Primary Duties

    + Support shelter guests in securing long-term housing and accessing local resources.

    + Offer stabilization services, including assistance with landlord/tenant issues.

    + Conduct assessments and intake interviews for guests who have been in shelter for five days.

    + Develop individualized service plans and review progress during weekly check-ins.

    + Coordinate referrals and applications for housing programs, benefits, and social services.

    + Keep accurate progress notes and complete monthly stabilization reports.

    + Build strong working relationships with landlords, housing agencies, and community partners.

    Required Qualifications

    + Experience in human services or customer-facing roles preferred.

    + Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred.

    + Valid driver’s license required.

    + Must pass CORI and driving record checks.

    + Individuals with lived experience related to homelessness or housing insecurity are strongly encouraged to apply.

    + COVID-19 vaccination required.

    + Ability to climb stairs and lift/move up to 30 lbs on occasion.

    This nonprofit organization provides comprehensive housing and support services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Their programs include:

     

    + Assistance with housing searches

    + Access to licensed social work staff

    + Financial literacy education

    + Meals and essential household items

     

    They operate two emergency shelters and 99 affordable housing units, working to eliminate barriers to housing and empower clients to reach their goals.
